Skin Care Does Not Have To Be Expensive
I’ll admit, if there’s one area I have no problem splurging in, it’s skin care.
I love trying it all.
But along the way, I’ve found that some of my absolute favorite products are affordable and effective.
Skincare does not need to be expensive. The key is building a routine with quality ingredients and sticking with it! Below, I’ll share the top affordable skin care products for dry skin.
Creating an Affordable Skin Care Routine For Dry Skin
The key to creating a budget-friendly skincare routine is keeping it simple. For dry skin specifically, we’ll focus on three ingredients to help retain moisture and soothe dry, irritated skin:
- Hyaluronic Acid: This is a star ingredient when it comes to hydration. Hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, making it an excellent moisturizer for dry skin.
- Ceramides: Ceramides are fats naturally present in the skin. They help maintain the skin’s barrier and retain moisture. Skin care products with ceramides can reinforce your skin’s natural barrier and hydrate it.
- Glycerin: A humectant, meaning it attracts water to the skin. Glycerin can draw moisture from the air and lock it into your skin, helping it stay hydrated and supple.
The simpler the skincare routine, the better. All you need are a good gentle cleanser, serum (optional), hydrating moisturizer, and sunscreen.

Best Affordable Facial Cleansers For Dry Skin
I hate cleansers that leave me feeling tight and dry after cleansing. When looking for the perfect cleanser, I target one that removes impurities without stripping moisture.
Here are products that will cleanse your skin gently and keep that moisture locked in.
The Face Shop Rice Water Bright | Simple Micellar Water | RoC Retinol Serum Cleanser | Neutrogena Hydro Boost | e.l.f Holy Hydration | La Roche-Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser
Best Budget-Friendly Dry Skin Serums
Serums penetrate deeply to deliver active ingredients, so they’re great for targeting a specific skin concern. I like to rotate and layer my serums to include a hydrating one, a vitamin C, and a retinol serum if needed.
You don’t need all of these, and serums can be skipped entirely if you’re trying to simplify your routine to just the basics.
Pyunkang Yul Brightening Blemish Care Serum | e.l.f. Holy Hydration Serum | Timeless Vitamin C | CeraVe Retinol Serum | Beauty of Joseon Glow Serum
