LED Esthetics Glotech Pro Mask + Collar Review
As someone who has been a fan of LED red light therapy for years, I’ve used numerous skin care devices, but the Omnilux red light mask has always been my favorite. Recently, however, I tried the LED Esthetics Glotech Pro Mask + Collar, and I was eager to see how they compare.
In this post, I’ll share my experience and tell you the pros and cons, as well as whether the Glotech Mask Pro + Collar is something you should invest in.
Disclaimer: LED Esthetics sent me these masks, but all opinions are my own.
About LED Esthetics
LED Esthetics offers FDA-approved light therapy masks and other skincare products to help treat a variety of skin concerns.
Their Glotech devices are FDA-cleared and Class II Medical certified.
This is important because there are so many light therapy masks on the market that it’s hard to know which ones are truly legitimate.
The company states that its results are clinically proven and references several clinical studies demonstrating the efficacy of light therapy. However, it’s important to note that these studies pertain to general LED light therapy, not specifically to their products.
Like with any skincare device, it’s important to try it for yourself and measure the results. LED Esthetics offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, which is nice.
I firmly believe in the power of red light therapy and its anti-aging results, so I was excited to try out a new mask set.
First Impressions
When I first received the LED Esthetics Glotech Pro Mask + Collar, I liked their sleek, modern design. They reminded me of my current Omnilux mask but with a more contemporary and streamlined look. Everything came well packaged, too!
The masks are adjustable and feel sturdy yet comfortable, fitting snugly without being too tight. The neck collar targets the often-neglected neck area, providing comprehensive coverage. Both devices were straightforward to set up and use.
A major advantage of the Glotech Pro Mask is that it provides both red and blue light therapy.
While my main focus is on reducing signs of aging, sun damage, and dark spots, I occasionally experience breakouts and appreciate having the option of blue light therapy when needed.
About LED Light Therapy
Light therapy comes in different wavelengths to provide skin rejuvenation and address skin concerns.
Blue light (405-420nm) treats stubborn acne by targeting pore bacteria, while red light (620-700nm) boosts collagen production for smoother, firmer skin. Infrared light (700-1400nm) offers the deepest penetration, enhancing overall skin health and repair.
Not all masks are made equal. The most important thing is to ensure the mask you’re considering has clinically proven wavelengths to ensure visible results.
Benefits of Blue Light Therapy (405-420mm)
Blue light includes LED wavelengths within 405-420nm, which treats acne:
- Acne Reduction: Blue light penetrates the skin to kill acne-causing bacteria, helping to prevent and treat breakouts.
- Oil Regulation: Blue light therapy helps reduce oil production, reducing the likelihood of future acne. The oil reduction also reduces pore size.
This study and this study show the efficacy of blue light on mild to moderate acne, which I found promising.
Benefits of Red Light Therapy (620-700nm)
Red light therapy, my long-time favorite, penetrates the skin to stimulate cellular activity and increase collagen production. This results in smoother, plumper skin with reduced fine lines and wrinkles:
- Collagen Boosting: Red light promotes collagen synthesis, which helps reduce wrinkles’ appearance.
- Improved Skin Tone and Skin Texture: Regular use can lead to a more even skin tone and smoother texture.
- Reduced Inflammation: It helps calm the skin, reducing redness and irritation.
- Enhanced Healing: This product speeds up the skin’s wound healing process, which is beneficial for those with acne scars or other blemishes.

Benefits of Near Infrared Light Therapy (700-1400nm)
Infrared light penetrates deeper into the skin than red and blue light, reaching muscles and tissues to reverse signs of aging.
If you’re looking for that natural radiant glow, infrared light will increase blood circulation, promote collagen production, and rejuvenate your skin from within.
- Enhanced Collagen Production: Stimulates collagen and elastin production, improving skin firmness and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Improved Circulation: Increases blood flow, which helps to deliver more oxygen and nutrients to the skin, promoting overall skin health and giving the skin a natural radiance.
- Pain Relief and Muscle Recovery: Eases muscle and joint pain by reducing inflammation and promoting faster recovery, making it beneficial for both skincare and overall wellness.
- Cell Regeneration: Accelerates the repair and regeneration of cells, aiding in the healing of wounds and reducing the appearance of scars.
- Reduced Inflammation: Helps to calm and soothe the skin, making it ideal for those with inflammatory conditions like eczema or psoriasis.
My Routine with the Glotech Pro Mask + Glotech Collar
I was already using my Omnilux masks 2-3 days a week, so when I received the Glotech masks, I stopped red light therapy for a week before incorporating them.
I hoped that my skin would get to a baseline before starting so I could evaluate any changes with the new masks.
I used the mask for about 10 minutes every other day, always starting with a clean, dry face. LED Esthetics offers skincare products to use with the mask too which enhances results.
I prefer using the mask on hydrated skin, so I apply the LED Esthetics Copper Peptides, letting them sink in for a few minutes before putting on the mask.
I love the flexibility of the device, allowing me to switch between red and blue light depending on my skin’s needs.
On days when my skin feels a bit congested, I opt for blue light to tackle any potential breakouts. Otherwise, I use red light to maintain my skin’s health.
The collar is a worthwhile addition. We often focus so much on our faces that we neglect the neck, which can show signs of aging just as much.
It’s something I’ll always invest in, especially since I have sun damage on my décolleté. Unlike the face mask, the collar only includes red light therapy.
Results After One Month
LED Esthetics recommends using this mask 5-7 days a week for optimal results. The treatment time is 10 minutes per session. After 4-6 weeks, you can reduce to maintenance treatments 2-4 days per week.
It’s best to evaluate results after several weeks of use – it takes time! However, I’ve seen promising results after using the Glotech Pro Mask and Collar for a month.
Since I was already consistently using red light therapy, I didn’t notice a drastic change, which I didn’t expect. However, the red light therapy has maintained my skin’s firmness and elasticity, so I’m pleased with the consistency.
The best part has been the addition of the blue light! I used it a few times during a brief acne flare-up on my forehead, and the acne subsided within a couple of days.
While I can’t be 100% sure the mask was the sole reason, the acne cleared up quickly without needing salicylic acid. This was a big plus because using salicylic acid usually means skipping retinol or vitamin C, so the blue light has been a great addition to my routine.
Glotech vs. Omnilux
It’s only fair to compare these two masks since they are so similar. Overall, they share many features. The Omnilux Mask and the Glotech Pro Mask have the same number of LED bulbs (66). However, the Omnilux Neck and Decollete mask has 54 bulbs, while the Glotech has 49. The Glotech bulbs are just a smidge larger, though.
Both are comparable in terms of pricing and offer similar value. The standout advantage of the Glotech mask is the added blue light therapy. With Omnilux, you’d need to purchase a separate device for blue light therapy, making the Glotech a better value.
And, If looking cute in your mask is important to you, I’d give Glotech a few extra points for its modern, sleek mask design.
