Best Wellness Shots for Glowing Skin and Energy Over 40
Here are my favorite wellness shots for healthy skin and energy over 40 that fight inflammation, support digestion, and help you glow from the inside out.

Around 40, things change. Your skin takes longer to bounce back, you feel bloated more often, and your energy becomes unpredictable.
Wellness shots help because they deliver concentrated nutrients when you need them most. The ingredients do real work! Turmeric reduces inflammation, beets improve blood flow, collagen supports skin, and greens help digestion. When your body’s dealing with hormonal shifts or just slowing down, every little bit helps.
I make these at home for two reasons: wellness shots are expensive to buy, and making them myself means I actually get these micronutrients consistently. A single shot won’t change much, but when it becomes a regular habit, that’s when you see results.
Think of these as a supplement to an already healthy diet, not a replacement for it.
Here are five shots that are simple to make and don’t taste terrible. Make one in the morning or prep a batch for the week. If you’ve been mainly running on coffee, you’ll notice a difference within a few days.
How to Make Homemade Wellness Shots
You have two options, depending on what equipment you have. If you’re using a juicer, throw all the ingredients in and you’re done (no straining needed).
If you’re using a blender, add all ingredients with the water listed in the recipe, blend on high until smooth, then strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a jar. Press down with a spoon to extract all the liquid.
The blender method takes an extra minute but works just as well.
Either way, drink the shot right after making it or store it in a sealed glass jar in the fridge. Shake before drinking if it’s been sitting for a while.
My must-haves: a juicer or blender, a fine mesh strainer, glass storage jars with lids, collagen peptides, and fresh ginger and lemons on hand at all times. I’ll also store extra juice in silicone ice cube trays, freeze, and pop them into smoothies or just defrost to drink when I want.

Here’s some of my favorite equipment you can get directly on Amazon:
- Juicer
- Blender (Pricey but mine has lasted over 10 years!)
- Glass Storage Jars
- Fine Mesh Strainer
- Silicone Ice Cube Trays
- Collagen Peptides

Incorporating Wellness Shots Into Your Routine
The point isn’t to drink all five of these every day.
Pick one or two that target what you’re dealing with: inflammation, low energy, digestion issues, dull skin and try making them part of your morning routine a few times a week.
You’ll notice the difference in how you feel and how your skin looks, especially if you stay consistent. These aren’t replacements for eating well or sleeping enough, but they’re a solid way to give your body extra support when it needs it.
Start with one recipe this week and see how you feel. If you try any of these, let me know which one you picked in the comments—I’d love to hear what’s working for you.
