Best Charlotte Tilbury Dupes That Are Actually Worth Buying
Charlotte Tilbury dupes are everywhere. This post breaks down which ones actually compare, which ones do not, and what is worth buying if you are over 40.

I tested 12 Charlotte Tilbury makeup products side by side against cheaper options. Some were easy saves and a few were still worth the splurge.
This is the version I wish I had before buying all of them.

Quick Take: What’s Worth It
If you just want the short version, here it is.
The best save in the whole test was e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter for Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter.
The products still worth splurging on were the cream bronzer, the Unreal Blush Stick, and the Matte Revolution lipsticks.
That said, a lot of the rest came down to shade matching more than anything else.
Best Charlotte Tilbury Face Makeup Dupes
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter Dupe
Compared: Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter vs. e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter is a glowy complexion product that works like a mix of primer, skin tint, and liquid highlighter. It gives skin that soft, radiant look under makeup.
Shade matching matters a lot here. I use Charlotte Tilbury shade 2 Light, which is a light champagne, slightly iridescent shade.
I first bought e.l.f. Halo Glow in shade 2 and it was too warm and golden on me. Although the formula was similar, it did not look like a dupe. Once I swapped it for shade 0.5 Fair, it was a completely different story.
That one was nearly identical. On my skin, I honestly could not tell much difference once they were blended out. The e.l.f. applicator is slightly larger. Other than that, the glow and finish were basically the same.

Verdict: Save. This was the strongest dupe in the whole test. Get the shade right and save your money.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Blur Concealer Dupe
Compared: Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Blur Concealer vs. e.l.f. Soft Glam Satin Concealer
Concealer is the category that matters most on mature skin because the wrong formula creases, clings to dry patches, so I’m picky here.
The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Blur Concealer is a full-coverage formula with what the brand calls an elastic-stretch finish. It has hyaluronic acid and squalane, which is why it feels creamy and thick going on without that dry, cakey result you get from most high-coverage concealers. A little goes a long way.
I tried the e.l.f. Soft Glam Satin Concealer because so many people call it a dupe. I tested 13 (Fair) and 20 (Light Cool).
The best match for my Charlotte Tilbury shade 4 Fair was e.l.f. 20 Light Cool. That was the one that looked closest on my skin.
The CT formula felt a little creamier and a little thicker. The e.l.f. one felt slightly softer and more moussey.
On the skin though, they looked extremely similar. Under the eyes especially, I could not see much difference.

Verdict: Save. Both are good, but for the price, the e.l.f. one is hard to beat.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder Dupe
Compared: Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish vs. MCoBeauty Miracle Flawless Pressed Powder
The Charlotte Tilbury powder has been a holy grail for me for years. It blurs right away and smooths the skin without looking heavy.
That is a big deal on 40+ skin because powder can go wrong fast. Too much and everything starts to look dry.

The MCoBeauty powder packaging looked almost identical, so I was skeptical. I expected it to feel like a cheap copy.
It did not.
On my skin, it gave that same soft-focus, blurred finish. It looked much more similar to the Charlotte Tilbury powder than I expected.
Both are good. Both gave me that lightweight set without making my skin look flat.

Verdict: Save. I still love the Charlotte Tilbury one, but the MCoBeauty powder performed well enough that I would save the money here.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray Dupe
Compared: Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray vs. MCoBeauty setting spray
Setting spray is the hardest product to judge. You are not swatching it. You are just looking at your makeup hours later and trying to decide what actually made a difference.
Both the Charlotte Tilbury spray and the MCoBeauty spray had a fine mist. Neither felt heavy or soaking wet on the skin, and both smelled nice.
Both helped makeup hold up well. I could not see a meaningful difference in wear between them.
This is one of the easiest save categories in the post. If your goal is locking makeup in place, the cheaper one gets the job done.
One quick note though. If hydration is your priority over setting, my actual reach for is the Charlotte’s Magic Hydrator Mist, which instantly hydrates and feels genuinely different on mature skin.

Verdict: Save. The MCoBeauty powder is actually a legit dupe here.
Best Charlotte Tilbury Bronzer and Contour Dupes
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand Dupe
Compared: Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand vs. Physicians Formula Butter Glow Contour Wand
The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand was one of my favorite products in this test. It is easy to control and the shade is a true neutral. That matters on fair skin. A contour that runs too warm stops looking like contour very quickly.
The sponge-tip applicator is also really easy to use. It gives you a small amount at a time, which makes it much easier to control.
I also tried Milani Conceal + Perfect in 01 Honey which many people also mentioned as a good dupe. That one was not a match for me (photos below). It pulled too warm and too bronzy. I would skip that shade for contour on fair skin but the application was similar.

The Physicians Formula Butter Glow Contour Wand was the real dupe here. The shade was close, it blended nicely, and it gave a very similar result on the skin.
It is a little thinner and more watery than the Charlotte Tilbury formula. On fair skin, that is not necessarily a bad thing because it gives you more room to build.
The CT formula is a little smoother and a little more pigmented. But the gap between them is small.

Verdict: Save. The Physicians Formula wand is a strong Charlotte Tilbury alternative (and it smells amazing).
Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow Bronzer Dupe
Compared: Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow Bronzer vs. Revolution Beauty Ultra Cream Bronzer in Light
Cream bronzer on mature skin can be amazing or terrible. It really depends on the undertone and how the formula blends.
The Charlotte Tilbury cream bronzer is buttery, pigmented, and easy to blend. It gives warmth without looking patchy.
The Charlotte Tilbury bronzer also has a really nice texture on the skin. It feels smooth and easy to work with, which is not always the case with cream bronzers.
The Revolution Beauty cream bronzer in light was not it for me. It pulled too warm and looked a little muddy on my fair skin.
You could also see the difference in the swatches. The undertone just was not as flattering.
The packaging was also annoying to open, which is not the end of the world, but it did not help.

Verdict: Splurge. This was one of the products where Charlotte Tilbury clearly performed better.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer Dupe
Compared: Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer vs. e.l.f. Forever Sunkissed
Shade matters a lot here. More than most of the other dupes I tried.
The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer is a beautiful formula. However, the first shade (fiar) is super light. On fair skin, it barely bronzes and almost works more like a finishing powder.
Shade 2 Medium is the better bronzer shade. It gives actual warmth, but still in that soft, buildable way that does not go on too heavy.
The e.l.f. Forever Sunkissed Bronzer sits right between those two CT shades. On me, it looked closest to CT Shade 2 Medium.
The formula is really nice. It is lightweight, easy to blend, and easy to build.
The only thing to know is that the e.l.f. compact is smaller than the Charlotte Tilbury one, and you do not get that same luxe feel when you use it. If that does not matter to you, the e.l.f. works just as well.
Verdict: Save. The e.l.f. is a really good formula and dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury powder bronzer. I have both in my collection.

Best Charlotte Tilbury Blush and Highlight Dupes
Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Blush Healthy Glow Stick Dupe
Compared: Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Blush Healthy Glow Stick vs. Covergirl TruBlend Skin Enhancer Balm
This one was close. The colors looked really similar to me, and once blended out on the skin, they looked the same.
So if you are just looking at the end result, this is a pretty good match.
Where I noticed the difference was in the formula. The Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Blush Stick felt creamier and a little richer on the skin.
That makes sense because it has a more emollient feel. It glides on nicely, has good pigment, and still blends out easily.
The Covergirl TruBlend Skin Enhancer one was still good. I liked it. It just did not feel quite as creamy or as substantial.
And honestly, the packaging is part of it here too. The Charlotte Tilbury one feels beautiful in the hand and a little more luxe.

Verdict: Splurge. The Covergirl is good, but this was one of the few where I preferred the full Charlotte Tilbury experience.

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand Dupe
Compared: Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand vs. e.l.f. Halo Glow Beauty Wand in Champagne Campaign
The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand in Spotlight and the e.l.f. Halo Glow Highlight Beauty Wand in Champagne Campaign looked almost identical on my skin. They had the same general champagne tone, the same soft glow, and a very similar finish once blended out.
The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand does have a slightly larger applicator, but both gave a controlled amount of product. Other than that, I would go with the dupe.

Verdict: Save. Buy the e.l.f.
Best Charlotte Tilbury Lip Dupes
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Liner Dupe
Compared: Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk Medium vs. NYX Line Loud in Magic Maker
Lip liner is one of those categories where the drugstore has really caught up. You do not always need to spend more here.
The Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk Medium and the NYX Line Loud Lip Liner in Magic Maker are very close. On the lips, they give a really similar effect, and I think most people would be happy with the NYX as a more affordable dupe.
The NYX is slightly creamier, while Charlotte Tilbury is a touch lighter and a little more refined. The difference is small though, and they are closer than a lot of the so-called dupes out there.
If you are looking for a dupe for Pillow Talk Medium, this is a strong one. For the original Pillow Talk shade, the one people mention most is NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Peekaboo Neutral.
That said, I really do like the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Medium. It is one of those products where I understand why people keep buying it.

Verdict: Save. The NYX is a strong option (they make some of the best liners), even if the Charlotte Tilbury is still really nice.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick Dupes
The Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick formula is still one of my favorites. It is matte, but it does not have that flat, dry look that so many matte lipsticks do.
That is not easy to find, especially on mature lips.
I own three shades: Pillow Talk Original, Love Liberty, and Red Carpet Red. Out of the three, Love Liberty is my favorite.
I usually tap Charlotte Tilbury on instead of swiping it straight from the bullet. That gives a softer, fuller look.
I did not personally dupe every shade here, mostly because I do not love Pillow Talk Original on myself. It is too light and too nude on my skin.
But if you are looking for shade alternatives, these are the ones I would start with.
For Pillow Talk Original, try Revlon Super Lustrous Luscious Mattes in Pick Me Up.
For Love Liberty, try NYX Matte Lipstick in Merlot.
For Red Carpet Red, try NYX Perfect Red if you want a true drugstore option.
If the shade works for you, Charlotte Tilbury is still really good here. This is one of the few places where I do think the original earns some of its hype.

Verdict: Splurge if you love the formula. Save if you are just matching the color.

Best Charlotte Tilbury Eye Dupes
Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise Cream Shadow Dupe
Compared: Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise in Oyster Pearl vs. Revlon ColorStay Crème in 710 Caramel
Cream shadow is one of those products I really like on mature lids. It is quick, easy, and usually looks smoother than powder.
It also tends to sit better on lids that are not as firm as they used to be.
Charlotte Tilbury Shadow in Oyster Pearl is a warm bronze with a glossy, high-shine finish. This is a really unique color – I love it. Revlon ColorStay in Caramel is in that same general color family, but it leans a little softer and a little more golden.
So yes, they are similar. But I would not call them identical.
The Revlon formula is still really good though. It wears well, does not crease much, and makes for a fair side-by-side comparison.
If you want the same kind of easy cream shadow look, it gets you very close.
Verdict: Save if you want the look. Splurge only if you are picky about getting that exact Charlotte Tilbury shade.
Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes Mascara Dupe
Compared: Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes Volume Mascara vs. L’Oréal Voluminous Curved Brush Mascara
Drugstore mascara is honestly where it is at. This is one category where I almost never feel the need to spend more.
The Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes Mascara is good. It gives a soft, fluffy, and full lash.
The wand has a nice shape and it does give volume. But on the lashes, the end result looked very similar to L’Oréal Voluminous.
Both gave volume. Both held up during the day.
This is also one of those categories where you replace the product often. Spending more every few months just does not make much sense to me when the drugstore version works.

Verdict: Save. Buy the L’Oréal.
Are Charlotte Tilbury Dupes Worth It? My Verdict Over 40
Charlotte Tilbury makes really good makeup. I have bought it for years, and I will keep buying some of it.
But after testing multiple products side by side, my honest take is that the drugstore has caught up in a lot of categories.
That was especially true with Flawless Filter, concealer, setting spray, mascara, and powder bronzer. In those cases, the difference just was not big enough to matter on the skin.
Where Charlotte Tilbury still stood out was in the products where formula really makes a difference. The cream bronzer blended better. The Unreal Blush Stick felt creamier. The Matte Revolution lipstick formula still held its own.
And yes, the packaging matters too. Charlotte Tilbury packaging is beautiful, and sometimes that really does add to the experience.
So this is how I would shop it now. Save where the end result looks the same.
Spend where the formula actually feels better, blends better, or wears better. Over 40, that difference matters more.
You do not have to be all drugstore or all luxury. The sweet spot is usually somewhere in the middle.
Charlotte Tilbury Dupes FAQ
For me, the best overall dupe was e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter for Hollywood Flawless Filter. Once I had the right shade, they looked so similar on my skin that I could barely tell a difference.
The ones where the formula really feels different. For me, that was things like the creamier blush stick, the cream bronzer, and a few of the lip products.
Some products are and some are not. The Matte Revolution lipstick, the cream bronzer in Fair, and the contour wand are worth it. The setting spray, mascara, and powder bronzer are easy saves without any real difference on the skin.
The Matte Revolution lipstick, the Beautiful Skin Cream Bronzer in Fair, the Unreal Blush Stick, and the Hollywood Contour Wand. The formula difference in these is real and noticeable on mature skin.
For the original Pillow Talk shade, NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Peekaboo Neutral is the one that gets mentioned most often. For Pillow Talk Medium, NYX Line Loud in Magic Maker is a good option.
